At Senasys, we recently took on an exciting challenge when a manufacturer approached us with a specific temperature monitoring application. They were looking for an alternative to the Honeywell Fan and Limit Thermostat Switch, specifically the P/N L4064B2236, which they had been using in a heated duct system. Our mission was clear – design a solution that not only switched control for the fan but also set precise temperature limits within the duct system. Fan and Limit Thermostats for Duct Applications
Leveraging the capabilities of our TC Series thermostats, which, like the Honeywell counterpart, break on temperature rise, we set out to create a solution that would not only meet but exceed the manufacturer’s requirements.
In a departure from the conventional single thermostat switch approach, we implemented a unique solution using two snap disc thermostat switches. The first snap disc was strategically used to control the fan, while the second snap disc, positioned ahead of the first, acted as a high limit. This innovative configuration allowed us to precisely manage the temperature range within the heated duct system.
